Evaluation of the blood flow in the greater vessels provides insights into the patient’s condition. Both with 2D flow and 4D flow blood flow volumes and velocities can be measured. Especially with 4D flow also the blood flow direction and velocity can be visualized to better interpret the results.
Obtain the amount, direction, and the velocity of the blood flow in the greater vessel to evaluate valvular diseases by the regurgitant volumes or the presence of intracardiac shunts. Also, pressure gradients can be obtained to report on the level of stenosis.
Visualize the 4D flow data with either a speed, streamlines or vector color overlay to understand in a glance the blood flows direction and velocity. Navigate via the MPR tool through the image volume to measure the velocity and volumes in the heart and vessels in different locations.
