Role description

The Product Manager Cardiac MRI at Medis is a pivotal role, owning the full product strategy, and driving product from idea to market in this key product domain. You’ll get to be part of a young and energetic team realizing new-to-world products that can ultimately transform our business and impact patient care. You will work directly with customers and our awesome team of advanced researchers, software developers, marketing, sales and service, to bring to market products that help our customers run successful CMR practices.

In this role you will be responsible for the entire cardiac MRI portfolio, which is one of our core imaging software product domains. You will define the product vision for the current and next-generation platform, in alignment with the business strategy and deep customer insights. You will develop value propositions and business cases, collect feedback with prototypes, and drive products from ideation through development and launch. You will be responsible for maintaining a laser focus on the customer throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will align closely with the advanced research, product development, marketing and sales teams on overall product strategy and market communication. You will be expected to travel to customer sites and relevant international congresses, to interact with (potential) customers and keep abreast of trends in the field.

The profile we are looking for:

• You have a deep working knowledge of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging, in cardiology and/or radiology. Ideally, you have hands-on experience in this field. Knowledge of current developments in Cardiac CT and experience with other cardiac imaging modalities is a plus.
• You feel equally at home in the hospital, with the R&D team, and in the presenters’ chair in front of an excited group of marketing and sales colleagues. You can inspire and influence both up and down the chain. You can translate clinical and technical items into commercial propositions.
• You have 3+ years’ experience in global product management or a closely related field such as clinical science, clinical applications or marketing, and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or life sciences under your belt.
• You know how to create and realize a compelling vision for a product space, built on an analysis of the business strategy, competitor landscape, clinical needs, current product positioning, etc.
• You can point to specific examples of how your ideas, insights and efforts have translated into commercially successful, highly usable products that customers love.
• Ideally, you’ll have some familiarity with software development methods such as scrum/agile.

• You’re willing to travel regularly (up to 20%) and be at the Leiden Headquarters on average at least 2-3 days a week for personal interactions.
• You’re fluent in English, written and spoken.
